Meet Our Team

At Little Wombatz we want every child to understand that they are loved and valued and will provide them with a safe environment where they can grow and thrive. We believe that play is fundamental to the way that children learn and we will encourage children to play in a variety of different ways.
Amy
Owner/Designated Safeguarding Lead

I am the manager for Little Wombatz Preschool and Wrap-around Care and took over in January 2019. I have 20 years experience in the childcare sector alongside a Level 4 qualification. I also have PARS training and am currently undergoing another PARS qualification which will entitle me to becoming a PARS trainer. I hold a full First Aid certificate and support Louise with her Child Protection role as well as various other training. I enjoy spending my time going on long walks with my dog, Bella, I have even taken part in walking marathons and am looking forward to my next one! When I have spare weekend I enjoy getting my family together and travelling to the nearest beach in our caravan.

Setting Manager/Designated Safeguarding Lead/Preschool Fire Safety Officer

I started working at Little Wombatz in February 2020 as a key person and now work alongside Amy in the day-to-day running of the setting. I hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare Learning and Development and am Paediatric First Aid trained. I have recently gained my Level 1 in PARS and have just taken on an apprenticeship to become a Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner and further develop my skills. In my spare time, I enjoy visiting my family and snuggling up with my dogs on the sofa! I have been teaching myself to crochet in my spare time and one day hope to be able to knit. I am often told that I am an old lady in a young persons body! Haha! Fun Fact – I once saw the Northern Lights whilst visiting Lapland at Christmas

Deputy Manager/SENDco/Key Person/Magic Booking Queen

I am a level 3 qualified Early years practitioner and have recently obtained my Level 3 as an early years SENDCo and I am currently working towards my level 5 in leadership. I began my Wombatz journey as a playworker where I completed my PARS Practitioner training before, I moved into my preschool position. As well as my role as a Key Person and SENDCo, I am Amy’s right-hand woman in regards to admin and the Magic Booking system and deputy manager. Fun Fact – I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan and have even queued up at midnight to get the books on their release day. I absolutely love going to the zoo with my family and my favourite zoo animal is a Pallas cat!

Wrap-around Lead/Wrap-around Fire Safety Officer

I have been working at Little Wombatz since June 2019 and currently work within the wrap around team. I have recently taken on a Wrap-around Lead position alongside my trusty companion, Molly. I hold 3 A-Level qualifications and I am fully Paediatric First Aid trained. I also gained my level 1 in PARS in May 2023. In my spare time I love to drive tractors and enjoy watching football although I haven’t found a safe way to do both at the same time! Fun fact – I can drive a John Deere 6r215!

Play Worker

I have been working at Little Wombatz since 2021 as a Play Worker in wrap-around. Since then, I have gained my Health and Social care Level 3 qualification, and I am also paediatric first aid trained. I have also taken part in PARS training and have already completed level 1 alongside members of the Wombatz team. My interests include socialising with friends and watching/playing football. I support Arsenal football team and in my down time enjoy cooking!

Key Person/ENCO

I have been working at Little Wombatz in a Key Person role since 2020 and in September 2024 I started working as part of the Butterfly group. Watching the children grow and develop is the most magical thing about my job! I also support the wrap around provision. I have a PGCE in Early Years and have always worked with children including teaching in school for many years. I am paediatric first aid trained and currently the ENCO leader. My favourite things to do are going on adventures with my beautiful family, the seaside, Cadburys chocolate and the colour purple. Fun fact - I played tug of war with an Elephant
Louise aka ‘Weezie’
Key Person

Hello my name is Louise but I’m better known as ‘Weezie’ at Wombatz. I am a well-established member of staff working as a team member for over 10 years and I hold a Paediatric First Aid qualification. I’ve worked across all ages of children from babies, 2-3 year olds and 3-4 year olds throughout my childcare journey. I am passionate about making each day different and new and am most well known for being the crazy, dancing, singing part of the wombatz family. I don’t mind getting messy and trying new challenges………. only if the children join in with me. I enjoy spending time at the beach with my family and dogs. I love a good cup of tea ( no sugar I’m sweet enough) with a variety of dunkable biscuits!! My favourite colour is yellow, and my favourite animal is Panda. Weezie Trivia: Give me 3 oranges and I can juggle!!

Key Person & Mental Health First Aider

I started as bank staff for Wombatz in October 2018 and became a Key Person in summer 2019. I have a Paediatric First Aid Certificate and have a Level 2 Qualification in an Introduction into Caring for Young Children and Young People. In December 2023 I completed a mental health course to become a Mental Health First Aider. I’m a massive Disney fan and have meet lots of my favourite characters… Eeekkk!!!! I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and snuggling up with my poochie on the sofa. Fun Facts – Crisps are not for sharing… especially Nik Naks! Me and wasps are NOT friends!

I started working at Little Wombatz during Holiday Club in summer 2023. I have a Level 1 qualification in Early Years and would like to develop my training in the future. I absolutely love food, especially crisps! In my spare time I enjoy chatting and catching up with friends and family and spending time with my 2 year old godson.

Wrap-around Lead

I started at Wombatz as a play worker in wrap-around in April 2022 and have recently begun sharing a lead role with Kia. I have passed my A Levels and am now in the process of completing my Level 3 in Early Years qualification to pursue my career further in childcare. I have also already completed my Level 1 PARS qualification. I love anything to do with water and particularly enjoy water sports such as swimming and paddleboarding. I am a big kid at heart and love to work hard! Fun Fact About Me – I love to travel and have been to lots of places but my favourite place to be is at home with my two doggies.

Hi, I'm Sue! I started working at Little Wombatz in May 2025 as part of the wrap-around team. I moved to Cambridgeshire in August 2024 and before the move worked in a primary school in West Sussex as a Teachig Assisstant for 21 years! A few fun facts about me: I used to take part in full contact karate and I owned a motorbike!!! My favourite colour is purple, and my hair is purple too! I enjoy baking and my favourite food has to be chocolate. I also enjoy spending my spare time with my daughter and her husband and having friends from down South come to stay!

I started my Little Wombatz journey in October 2021 as a student whilst completing my Level 2 childcare qualification. I am currently working towards my Level 3 diploma as an apprentice, and I’m now a key worker in the Caterpillar group which I’m really enjoying! I’ve always known that I wanted to work with children, and I love seeing them develop and blossom every day. In my spare time, I love to relax at home with my cat, Geraldine and go to lots of shows and concerts! Fun Fact - My favourite singers that I’ve seen live so far are Harry Styles and Olivia Rodrigo!

I really enjoy working at Little Wombatz who are a great team to work with. I have worked as part of Team Wombatz since September 2022. I am kind, caring and here to help your child have the best day. I look forward to seeing your child grow in our care and to enjoy learning through all the lovely play activities we provide. I am a mum of two children, 13 and 10. I have lived in the local area for 13 years. I used to be a childminder where I gained my Level 3 Diploma in Working with Children and Young people. I continue to update my professional development with training provided at Little Wombatz and online information groups in the Early Years. I do like to sing and have a little dance! It's always lovely when children join in too, which many of them enjoy doing at Little Wombatz! Outside of work I enjoy reading and love time with my family. We enjoy holidays camping in our tent! I listen to a variety of music, but my favourite childhood band is Take That who I still love today! My favourite time of year is Christmas! I wish it could be Christmas every day!!!

Hi, I'm Harvey I started working at Little Wombatz at the end of the summer term in 2025 as part of the wrap-around team. During my time outside of Little Wombatz, I enjoy collecting screen-accurate movie and TV props and i'm a huge comic book fan! My favourite superhero has to be Spiderman! I love building and making things out of lego as well!
